Exness is no longer an option for copy trading: it permanently closed its Social Trading service on June 25, 2026. For XM and Vantage, the pages we checked do not publish copy trading fees, profit-share terms or minimums, so we cannot rank them as a "best" platform. This guide covers what is verified, what is not, how to compare costs, and the risks.
Exness copy trading: closed on June 25, 2026
Exness permanently closed its Social Trading (copy trading) service on June 25, 2026, when remaining investments were closed automatically. The Social Trading app was removed from the App Store and Google Play on January 15, 2026, and new investments in strategies were blocked from February 16, 2026. Exness copy trading is not an available product. Sources: BrokerAnalysis: Exness Social Trading review 2026 and BrokerXplorer: Exness to shut down copy trading in 2026.
If you still see old guides describing Exness copy trading, they are out of date. Exness remains a broker for trading your own account, with the account types in our Exness account types guide.
XM copy trading: what we could verify
The pages we checked for XM do not publish copy trading terms, so we state none: no fees, profit-share percentages, minimum amounts or trader lists. Check XM's official website to see whether a copy service is offered in your country and what it costs.
What is verified about XM:
- Platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and its own web and mobile platform (XM App); no cTrader. Source: ForexBrokers.com: XM review.
- Commissions: Standard and Ultra Low accounts charge no commission (spread only); the Zero account charges $3.50 per side per lot, so $7.00 per lot round turn (our arithmetic: $3.50 x 2). Source: ForexBrokers.com: XM review.
- Regulation: XM Global Limited is regulated by the FSC of Belize (licence 8557558); the EEA entity is regulated by CySEC. The ASIC licence belongs to the separate Trading.com brand, not XM. Source: XM regulation page.
- Restricted countries: XM Global does not serve citizens of the United States, Canada, Israel and Iran, or other sanctioned countries. Source: XM regulation page.
Vantage copy trading: what we could verify
Likewise, the pages we checked for Vantage do not publish copy trading fees, profit-share terms or minimums, so we do not state any. Confirm on Vantage's official website whether copy trading is offered where you live.
- Platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and TradingView, plus its own web platform and mobile apps; no cTrader. Source: ForexBrokers.com: Vantage review.
- Raw ECN commission: from $3.00 per side per lot, so from $6.00 per lot round turn (our arithmetic: $3.00 x 2), charged in the account's base currency. Source: Vantage Help Center: commission fees.
- Standard STP has no commission and wider spreads; Raw ECN has tighter spreads with a commission. Source: Vantage Help Center: Standard STP vs Raw ECN.
- Not accepted: US residents (Vantage is not authorised by the CFTC). Source: ForexBrokers.com: Vantage review.
Comparison at a glance
| Item | Exness | XM | Vantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copy trading | Closed June 25, 2026 | Terms not published on pages we checked | Terms not published on pages we checked |
| Raw-type commission, round turn | Raw Spread: up to $7.00 per lot | Zero: $7.00 per lot | Raw ECN: from $6.00 per lot |
| Platforms | See broker site | MT4, MT5, XM App | MT4, MT5, TradingView |
Exness Raw Spread: commission up to $3.50 each side per lot, per the Exness Professional accounts page.
Worked example: what copied volume costs in commission
Copied trades pay the same spreads and commissions as any trade. Example only, with a hypothetical 1.0 pip spread on EUR/USD for every broker (not a quoted spread), and $10 per pip per standard lot:
- Spread cost = 1.0 pip x $10 x 1 lot = $10.00.
- No-commission account: $10.00 + $0 = $10.00 per lot.
- Vantage Raw ECN: $10.00 + $6.00 = $16.00 per lot.
- XM Zero: $10.00 + $7.00 = $17.00 per lot.
- Exness Raw Spread (up to): $10.00 + $7.00 = $17.00 per lot.

Now suppose a strategy you copy trades 20 lots a month. Commission alone would be 20 x $6.00 = $120.00 at Vantage Raw ECN, or 20 x $7.00 = $140.00 on XM Zero. A high-volume strategy makes costs matter, so check commissions before you copy. Use our Trading Cost Calculator and Forex Commission Comparison, or read Exness Zero vs Vantage Raw ECN.
Risks of copy trading
- Past results do not predict future results. A strong history can end with a bad month.
- Leverage magnifies losses. A copied trader's risk level may be higher than yours.
- Execution differences. Your fills, spreads and slippage can differ from the trader's, so your results may differ.
- Fees. Profit-share or other fees, if any, are not published on the pages we checked for XM or Vantage; confirm them first.
- Platform risk. Exness shows a service can be withdrawn: new investments were blocked from February 16, 2026 and positions closed automatically on June 25, 2026.
- Swaps. Overnight swaps vary by instrument, direction and broker and are shown in the platform's contract specification.

How to choose without a verified ranking
- Confirm on the broker's official site that copy trading is offered in your country.
- Find the fee structure and minimum amounts in writing.
- Check the broker's regulator on the regulator's own register.
- Start with a small amount you can afford to lose and set a maximum loss.
- Compare the commissions above for the volume the strategy trades.
