Exness review: accounts, costs, licences and who it suits
An Exness review built only from checked figures: which entity serves you, account costs, minimum deposits, payment methods, platforms and country limits.
- By Blocktechpro Research Desk
- Last verified:
Exness suits traders who want MT4 or MT5 with a low first deposit: Standard has no fixed minimum initial deposit1 and no commission2, while Raw Spread and Zero trade a higher deposit (at least 200 USD, depending on regional requirements3) for commission-based pricing. Before anything else, check which Exness entity would hold your account: the licence differs by country, and in some countries Exness is flagged or unregistered.
We give no star rating; each section below states the figure and its source so you can judge for yourself.
Who you would be dealing with
South African clients deal with Exness ZA (Pty) Ltd4 (Financial Service Provider (FSP) authorised by the FSCA, FSP number 510244) and Kenyan residents with Exness (KE) Limited5 (non-dealing online foreign exchange broker licence from the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kenya, licence number 1625). The group also includes Exness (SC) Ltd5, licensed by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles, Securities Dealer licence SD0255. The full entity list is in is Exness legit.
Accounts and costs
| Account | Spread from | Commission | Minimum first deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 0.2 pips2 | no commission2 | no fixed minimum initial deposit1 |
| Raw Spread | 0.0 pips6 | up to $3.50 each side per lot6 | at least 200 USD, depending on regional requirements3 |
| Zero | 0.0 pips6 | from $0.05 each side per lot6 | at least 200 USD, depending on regional requirements3 |
On Zero, Exness advertises zero spread on the top 30 instruments (spreads on them may rise above 0 during high volatility)6. Spreads marked “from” are best cases. We have not yet recorded our own average spreads; until we do, compare the live spread in MT5 on the pairs you trade, and use our cost-per-lot calculator to turn spread and commission into a cost per lot.
Deposits and withdrawals
After the first deposit, the minimum depends only on the payment method3, and third-party payments are not allowed7. Kenya is the market where we have checked the payment details so far: with M-Pesa, Exness Kenya says deposits are often instant or within a few minutes8 and withdrawals arrive usually within minutes9. Country details are on the Exness minimum deposit page.
Platforms
Standard and Raw Spread accounts run on MT4 and MT52.

- In India, Exness is named on the Reserve Bank of India's Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in forex or to operate electronic trading platforms for forex (list updated as on November 19, 2025)10.
- In Nigeria, Exness's regulation page no entity registered with SEC Nigeria is listed5, while the SEC says under the Investments and Securities Act (ISA) 2025 it is an offence to operate an online foreign exchange (forex) trading platform in Nigeria without SEC registration11.
- The licences of the Cyprus and UK entities do not apply to retail clients.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
May suit: MT4 or MT5 traders in a country where a local Exness entity is licensed (for example South Africa or Kenya) who want to start small on Standard, or who trade enough volume to compare Raw Spread and Zero.
Look elsewhere: residents of India, where Exness is on the RBI Alert List; residents of the countries the global site does not serve; and anyone who needs a licence from their own country's regulator that Exness does not hold.
