Vantage Markets minimum deposit by account

Vantage spread

Vantage's "from" spreads for Standard STP and Raw ECN were not on the pages we checked, so we do not state them. The only figures we have are third-party measurements: ForexBrokers.com measured an average EUR/USD spread of 1.4 pips on Standard STP and 0.127 pips on Raw ECN (plus the $6 round-turn commission). Worked example: cost per lot on EUR/USD

Pip value on EUR/USD is $10 per pip per standard lot (100,000 units). Spread cost = spread in pips x pip value x lots. Cost per lot = spread cost + commission.

• Standard STP: 1.4 pips x $10 x 1 lot = $14.00, plus $0 commission = $14.00.
• Raw ECN: 0.127 pips x $10 x 1 lot = $1.27, plus $6.00 commission = $7.27.

On 5 lots the same inputs give $70.00 for Standard STP (14.00 x 5) and $36.35 for Raw ECN (7.27 x 5). This is an example built on third-party averages, not a promise of what you will pay.

Vantage leverage

Leverage ranges from 30:1 in the UK and Australia to 1000:1 or 2000:1 at Vantage's offshore entities. Which cap applies to you depends on the entity that onboards you. Source: ForexBrokers.com: Vantage review.

Does a $50 deposit work with that leverage?

Margin = notional value / leverage. This example uses a hypothetical EUR/USD price of 1.1000, for illustration only.

• 0.01 lot = 1,000 units = $1,100 notional. At 30:1: 1,100 / 30 = $36.67. At 1000:1: 1,100 / 1,000 = $1.10.
• 1.00 lot = 100,000 units = $110,000 notional. At 30:1: 110,000 / 30 = $3,666.67. At 1000:1: 110,000 / 1,000 = $110.00.

How Vantage compares on minimum deposit

• XM: $5 for all accounts except Shares, which requires $10,000 (ForexBrokers.com: XM review).
• IC Markets: $0 on the three account types listed on the IC Markets Global site (IC Markets (IC) account overview).
