Forex cashback is a rebate on the trading costs you already pay. The broker pays a partner (an introducing broker or rebate provider) a share of the revenue your trades generate, and the partner passes part of it back to you for every lot you trade. How much you get per lot depends on the broker, the account type, the instrument and the share your rebate provider agrees to.
This guide explains where the money comes from, shows the arithmetic with clearly labelled hypothetical numbers, and covers how to claim cashback on a new or existing account. Traders in Nigeria and South Africa search for this a lot, so the availability and regulation notes below are worth a read.
Where forex cashback comes from
Brokers earn from spreads, commissions and sometimes swaps. To attract clients they pay partners for referrals. That partner payment is the pool cashback is taken from. It is not extra money from the market, and it does not change the price you trade at.
For Exness, the partner program pays up to 40% of revenue from referred clients' trades, with instant and daily payout options depending on the program. Source: Exness Affiliates. Those payout options describe how Exness pays its partners, not when a trader is paid.
Blocktechpro passes a share of that partner payment back to the trader. The exact share is confirmed at sign-up, and it is never the full partner rate. Because we do not publish a dollars-per-lot figure for our own program, you should get the exact share in writing before you register.
How much is it per lot?
There is no universal per-lot number. Brokers publish partner terms in different ways:
- Exness: up to 40% of revenue from your trades (partner maximum). The trader's share is lower and confirmed at sign-up.
- XM: CPA paid upfront of up to $1,000 per client (availability varies by country), plus lot-rebate and revenue-share plans and daily payouts on earnings. No per-lot rate is published on the pages we checked. Source: XM Partners payment plans.
- Vantage Markets: CPA affiliates receive up to $1,200 per client introduced. Source: Vantage Help Center: How to become a CPA affiliate. No per-lot rate is published on the pages we checked.
- IC Markets: no official partner page with figures was found, so ask the rebate provider for the rate in writing.
- Markets4you: an IB program with up to 72% commission, tiered by status, and up to $14.40 per lot from spread share on EUR/USD. Source: Markets4you blog: What partner program to choose. These are partner-side maximums, not what a trader receives.
Treat any rebate figure that is not backed by the broker's own page, or by a written quote from the rebate provider, with caution.
Worked example: cost per lot before cashback
Net cost per lot = spread cost + commission − rebate. The formula needs your rebate, which you only learn at sign-up, so this example stops at the cost before rebate.
Inputs (example only): EUR/USD pip value is $10 per pip per standard lot of 100,000. We use one hypothetical 1.0 pip spread for every account so the comparison isolates commissions. Spread cost = 1.0 pip x $10 x 1 lot = $10.00. These are not quoted spreads.
| Account | Verified commission | Hypothetical spread cost | Cost per lot before rebate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exness Standard | No commission | $10.00 (hypothetical 1.0 pip) | $10.00 + $0 = $10.00 |
| Exness Raw Spread | Up to $3.50 each side per lot (up to $7.00 round turn, $3.50 x 2) | $10.00 (hypothetical 1.0 pip) | $10.00 + up to $7.00 = up to $17.00 |
| Vantage Raw ECN | From $3.00 per side (from $6.00 round turn, $3.00 x 2) | $10.00 (hypothetical 1.0 pip) | $10.00 + from $6.00 = from $16.00 |
| IC Markets Raw Spread (MetaTrader only) | $3.50 per side ($7.00 round turn) | $10.00 (hypothetical 1.0 pip) | $10.00 + $7.00 = $17.00 |
| IC Markets Standard | $0 commission | $10.00 (hypothetical 1.0 pip) | $10.00 + $0 = $10.00 |
Sources: Exness Standard accounts page, Exness Professional accounts page, Vantage Help Center: commission fees and IC Markets account overview. The IC Markets cTrader Raw Spread account uses a different commission basis ($3.00 per USD 100k traded), so it is not in this table. Commissions change, so confirm them on each broker's fee page.

A ceiling for scale: if Exness revenue were approximated as spread only, the partner maximum of 40% on the $10.00 Standard example would be 0.40 x $10.00 = $4.00 per lot at the partner level. Real revenue is not exactly the spread, and you would receive only the share your rebate provider passes on, so your cashback would be lower than that.
Over 5 lots, the hypothetical Standard spread cost is 5 x $10.00 = $50.00. For Exness Raw Spread, the commission is up to 5 x $7.00 = up to $35.00 on top of the spread. Swaps are separate: they vary by instrument, direction and broker and are shown in the platform's contract specification. Use our Pip Calculator to check pip value for your own pair and lot size.
How to get forex cashback on a new account
- Check that the broker serves your country. The Exness global entities do not serve residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus. Exness lists FSCA (South Africa) among its regulators. Source: Exness Standard accounts page. Confirm the entity and availability for your own country on the broker's website.
- Open the registration page through the partner link, for example Exness via Blocktechpro.
- Enter the partner code
ccm34k1youin the Partner code field if it is not filled in. It sits after the email and password and before the U.S. citizen confirmation, and an invalid code clears the field. Source: Exness Help Center: Registering an Exness account. - Ask for the rebate share in writing before you fund the account.
- Trade, then check that the rebate reports match your lots.

Can you get cashback on an existing account?
Often it is not simple. Exness can tell you your current partner's account number (and nothing else about them) if you ask support. The Help Center pages we checked publish no self-service way to change the partner on an existing account, so you have to ask Exness support whether and how it is possible. Source: Exness Help Center: Can I find out who my partner is?. Our article on changing partner on Exness covers the options. If a change is not possible, a new account registered with a partner code is the usual alternative, but check the broker's rules first.
Pros, cons and how to check it yourself
- Pros: lowers the effective cost per lot, and the benefit grows with volume.
- Cons: the share varies by provider, payment timing is set by the provider, and cashback can tempt you to overtrade.
- Check: the broker's regulator and entity for your country, the account type's spread and commission, the rebate share in writing, and the payment schedule.
Risk warning
Leveraged forex and CFD trading can lose money quickly. Cashback reduces costs but does not offset trading losses, and terms vary by country and change over time. Read our risk disclaimer before you trade, and confirm all fees and rebate terms on the broker's official website. This article is not financial advice.
